Weekly Update 19th - 25th March

I've put in 30km this week, quite probably the most I've run in a week. March's total currently stands around 80km.

I've been running in the MT110 I mentioned last week, my VB Ultra's and barefoot.

I have had a little trouble adjusting to the MT110 as it has a thicker sole than most shoes I run in, causing me not to relax and overworking my muscles - leaving them a bit sore. Hopefully I've learned to relax in them now, time will tell.

Overall though, I really like the shoe. The upper is really well constructed, and the fit is just perfect leaving plenty of room for my toes to wiggle about.

The weather this week has been wonderful for this time of year, and temperatures have been near 20 degrees most of the week. Taking advantage of the great weather I ran 12km in the forest yesterday. The first 9km I ran in my VB Ultras, then did another 3km barefoot to finish off.

Not muddy today!

I was planning to go climbing with Brad today, but had some tooth ache come on that kept me up all night and giving me a headache. It's all fine now though, and should get out next weekend.

I'm planning to take things a little easier to round off the month. Going to take the next two or three days off, then probably do a couple of 5k runs. The weather's looking great all week though, so it might be tempting to do a little more :-)
