10 miler (in the daylight!)

Friday was the last day of the term at work, which meant we finished early and I was able to get to the forest to do some running in the daylight for a change!

I had mapped out a route of ten miles beforehand, but could cut it shorter at certain points if I wasn't feeling up to it.

Luckily though my legs obliged and I ran a new personal best in 1 hour 24 mins. The last couple of miles were tough. Mile nine was an uphill section before I reached the flat plateau for the last mile. I felt like I was running at about 95% on the last mile, my legs were tired and my quads felt like lead. I did the last mile in 7 min 48 sec.

It's now Sunday and my legs have almost recovered, but still feeling a little tired. Not sure I'll get another run in before the big day!

Hoping to do a nice circa 10km route with Cerian while we are down in Cornwall - around lands end peninsula. Should be fun!
