Current affairs...

Before the Snowdonia expedition with Brad, I received an injury in to my ankle when running. Not sure how it happened exactly. I wasn't wearing my usual zero drop shoes, but shoes with a higher heel drop as I was experimenting with my running form in different shoes. So it might have been the change in shoes, or I could just of landed on it funny.

This has limited my running whilst it recovers so I don't expect to do much mileage this month.

If it ain't broke don't fix it - no more experimenting in high heels!

I have recently started going bouldering again at Fort Purbrook after work, and it seems I've quite missed it.

The last year or so I have mostly just been trad climbing, and haven't really concentrated on training. I don't think I've lost much of my technical ability, but my stamina does need a little work. If I keep this up once a week I should be back to fitness in no time. Plus I think it will improve my trad climbing as well, giving me more confidence to do those harder moves and not worry about popping off the rock.

I am glad to of put up a new route at Fairy Cave Quarry last year. It may not be that hard, or the best climb ever - but its about adventure, and I might even put another one up this year.

To sum up - low mileage and increased stamina!
