Old Shoes

Got to try out my new climbing shoes on Monday at Fort Purbrook, and I'm pleased with their performance. They're a size larger than my previous pair, making them more pleasant for all day trad climbing or long mountain routes, but still precision tools!

Not quite sure what to do with the old shoes, seems a bit of a shame to throw them away - being my first pair of rock shoes, they've done well for the past three years. I've given them a good clean, and their original bright blue colour has come back slightly. I'll pop them at the back of the cupboard for now I guess.

I've decided to get some more weekday bouldering in again, to improve my forearm strength and endurance.

Still pondering my leg injury. Can't really decide whether its a stress fracture or some muscle/tendon injury. It seems to be getting better, just really slowly! I have to be careful on it though. No running.

Luckily I can climb, or I think I'd go insane!

Old shoes - still life in them yet!
